FONTS + PRODUCT OPTIONS

Pretty letters.
Very good presents.

The font, layout and styling are part of every Ink + Fold design. We choose them because they suit the artwork, fit the product and make the whole thing look properly finished.

The pictures are your best guide.

Unless a font selector appears on the individual product page, your order will use the font and general styling shown in the product images.

BEFORE REQUESTING A FONT TRANSPLANT

The font is part of the design.

Ink + Fold designs are put together as complete little artworks. Typography, spacing, illustration and layout all work together, so we generally keep the font shown unless a font choice is actually offered on the product page.

Aa

The font shown is the font used.

Unless you can see a font selector on the product page, the design will be printed using the font style shown in the product photographs or artwork previews.

We generally do not swap fonts by request because a font change can alter the balance, spacing and personality of the entire design.

Decorative fonts have their own little personalities.

Some fonts deliberately use unusual or old-fashioned letter shapes. That can include:

Cursive characters Decorative capitals Unusual lowercase letters Hand-drawn styling Vintage letter forms Uneven-looking spacing Textured lettering

These characteristics form part of the design and are not, by themselves, printing errors.

Uppercase, lowercase + decorative little letter weirdness.

Some fonts naturally display names or wording in a particular style. A lowercase letter may resemble a capital, and decorative characters can look quite different from the letters on your keyboard.

Check the product images before ordering so you can see how the design handles capitals, lowercase letters and decorative forms.

Choose your product options carefully.

Available options depend on the product and may include things such as:

Size Material Name Age Wording Colour Design Personalised Non-personalised

Different variations can have different prices, dimensions, materials and production requirements, so check your selections before adding the product to your cart.

Digital previews are visual guides.

Product images and website selectors show the overall design, but personalised wording sometimes needs small layout adjustments when we prepare the final artwork.

The finished layout may vary slightly in areas such as wording position, artwork scale, line breaks, spacing or print placement.

Screens + printed products speak slightly different colour languages.

Screen brightness, device settings, room lighting and the material being printed can all affect how colour appears.

A colour glowing on a phone or computer screen will not always look identical when printed onto paper, fabric, ceramic, melamine or another physical surface. Small variations are normal.

Photo products sometimes need a little crop.

If your product includes an uploaded photograph, the shape and size of the final print area may mean we need to crop, enlarge or reposition the image so it works with the design.

Use the clearest, highest-quality photo you have and avoid placing important faces or details right against the very edge of the image. We’ll do our best to make it sit nicely within the design.

We may quietly tidy things up.

Not because we are ignoring you. Because sometimes a seventeen-letter name has ambitions the original layout did not anticipate.

Tiny changes keep the design looking good.

To keep personalised artwork clear, balanced and legible, our designers may make small layout adjustments when preparing the final print file.
